MUMBAI: This week on MTV Beats Sessions From Home meet the gorgeous, Shalmali. From her very first song Pareshaan, from Ishaqzaade, Shalmali has been noted for her very distinct style of singing and has been a part of some of the biggest hits like “Daru Desi”, “Baby Ko Bass”, “Don’t be Shy” and “Balam Pichkari”. More recently, Shalmali released her first Independent English single titled Regular, a song she has written, composed and performed, all during the lockdown. The song marks her journey of self that she calls “Shalmali 2.0”.

In this episode of MTV Beats Sessions from Home, she talks about why performing an English song was always on cards, the process of writing the song and the story behind her new hairdo. Along with her new song Regular, Shalmali will also sing her independent hits “Ruka Ruka” and “Kalle Kalle” in the episode.

In the fun segment MTV Beats Wants To Know, Shalmali talks about her lockdown BFF, her new hobbies and her most memorable day so far in lockdown.
