MUMBAI: Famous singer Mohit Chauhan's latest song Dil Ki Shikayat released on YouTube channel Ayaz Ismail a week ago. Very few singles gain a million views, and the new romantic number by Chauhan is one of them. The song has hit a million views after just a week of its release.
The lyrics have been penned by director and lyricist Anvita Dutt. The song's catchy chorus is playful and cutesy, "Dil ki shikayat, badti hararat, kaise shararat, kar gayi meri jaan tu". Dutt has undoubtedly garnered a lot of praise as director for her film Bulbul which released on Netflix in June. Her career as a lyricist has also been full of hits. Her work includes songs from Bachna Ae Haseeno, Dostana, Kambakkht Ishq, Student of the Year, Queen, and more. She is twice as happy for the successes of her film as well as Dil Ki Shikayat.
Dallas based Indian-American composer-producer Ayaz Ismail has composed the soothing tunes for the song. Ayaz, who is also a famous DJ, says that Anvita's lyrics and Mohit's unique vocals have made the song remarkable. "I am thankful to both of them for this opportunity to collaborate. I am glad that this song has received so much love." Ayaz has previously produced music for Javed Ali, Shaan, Richa Sharma, among others.

The song was shot separately with Ayaz in the USA, and Lisa in Canada, following all social distancing norms.
