Chhavi Pradhan: One needs to feel music to become a good singer

MUMBAI: Chhavi Pradhan, a newcomer on the music scene, is slowly but steadily rising as the new young star. Her cover songs Sakhiyan, Lamberghini, Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage have been a rage on the internet and masses have been dancing to her songs.

Sharing her musical journey, Chhavi said, "I started singing when I was only 20 years old. Earlier I used to play drums and jam with my brother. I had never really thought that singing would become my career. I used to watch my brother perform with his band. My mother is the first anchor on Doordarshan and this inspired me to go towards creative arts. I uploaded many videos initially, but after hard work and struggle, finally, my cover song Sakhiyan went viral. This inspired me to take up singing as a career. Sakhiyan garnered 750k views, while Channa Mereya got 500k views. My song Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi was played on 104.8 FM. I have also performed at the Jaipur Literature festival. "

Ask Chhavi if she wants to pursue singing in Bollywood and she said, "I want to become a playback singer and establish a unique style. I want to sing songs that set my signature style. I also love writing songs and composing music. In the age of YouTube and social media, young talent is getting loads of opportunities to perform and showcase it on various platforms. I am thankful to the masses for appreciating my songs and giving me a direction in my career."
