MUMBAI: Not content to dominate YouTube and collab with Lady Gaga, Blackpink and Selena Gomez announced that they'd be dropping a brand-new track. The news came on Instagram, where the official Blackpink account and Gomez shared the news.

"So SO excited to announce @BlackPinkOfficial and I have a new song coming out August 28th," Gomez wrote, sharing a graphic that featured a throwback font for Gomez's name and dripping, syrupy drips over pink stripes. While there isn't much more info on the collaboration, it's safe to assume that fans will be streaming the track nonstop as soon as it hits the internet. Still, there's no telling whether it'll be a full-on music video, just an audio track, or a lyric video.

Instagram also shared the announcement. The news follows Blackpink’s song with Lady Gaga, “Sour Candy,” released back in May, as well as their debut album announcement last month. The unnamed collaboration will drop on August 28, though it’s unclear if the song will drop by itself or alongside a new music video. But if Blackpink and Gomez’s past singles are any indication, their collaboration is likely to break records in whatever way it’s released.
