Rakhee Gupta gears up for new song release, ‘Mein Ratungi Radha Naam’

MUMBAI: Symbolising her multifaceted nature, Rakhee Gupta gears up for the release of her song, "Mein Ratungi Radha Naam", produced under the banner of Times Music, slated for release on October 19, 2020.

A woman of many talents, her musical aptitude only adorns her versatile and literary personality. As an officer of the 1997 batch of the Punjab Cadre of the Indian Administrative Service she has been lauded in all administrative assignments she has been entrusted with. Handling sensitive assignments with elan has been her forte, ranging from Deputy Commisioner Faridkot to Director NIFT and Joint Secretary Home Affairs amongst many others.

Excelling in Academics, she graduated from Lady Shri Ram College and was awarded the Delhi University Post Graduate Scholarship for her PG in Delhi School of Economics. She has also been awarded an MPhil Degree on Defence and Strategic Studies from the National Defence College.

Besides, she has many accolades to her credit, including the prestigious Stree Shakti Puruskar awarded to her by the Hon'ble President of India in 2011 for administrative skills, leadership quality and commendable work for the overall development of women. She was also deputed by the Government of India to Bhutan for overseeing the first parliamentary elections as a national observer.

Presently posted as the Resident Commissioner of Punjab at New Delhi, she holds a keen interest in music, dance, writing and military studies.

Now, she is all set for the release of her upcoming track, to which she has lent her vocals. The spiritual song has been composed by Gaurav Dev and Kartik Dev.

The teaser of the song that was launched early today shows montages of divine and holy rituals being performed on the banks of the river Yamuna. Amidst this, Gupta is seen serenading while seated on a boat. The music video has been helmed by Kamal Kamavat and was shot in some of the most picturesque pilgrimage spots of India. Main Toh Ratungi Radha Naam is slated for a release on October 19.

Sharing her excitement about the song, Gupta says, “Main Toh Ratungi Radha Naam is my personal tribute to the divine on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. Devotional songs make for an interesting genre. They have a soothing melody and a calming effect on one’s mind which is the requirement of the times we live in today. I am personally very fond of them and I am elated to be lending my voice to this song. It helps me feel so close to the divine. Every time I sing this song, I feel overwhelmed. I hope it reaches out to everyone and leaves an impression on them.”
