Taylor Swift addressed rumors engagement Joe Alwyn in a new Interview

MUMBAI: Taylor Swift fans have been reeling ever since the singer released a sneak peak of the re-recorded classic, "Love Story" last week. Not only was it exciting to see some of the results of Taylor's recently rerecorded masters, but it also seemed like she was using the song to hint that she's engaged. Now, Taylor is once again opening up about her relationship status in a new interview.

While chatting with Entertainment Weekly, Taylor did something she doesn't normally do, she opened up about her relationship with Joe Alwyn. Usually, the couple is extremely private, but Taylor referenced Joe while going over the process of creating folklore in quarantine.

"It was weird because I had never made an album and not played it for my girlfriends or told my friends," she said. "The only people who knew were the people that I was making it with, my boyfriend, my family, and then my management team." Notice how she describes Joe? As her boyfriend. This comes after suspicion last week that Taylor and Joe are engaged. Fans noticed that in the re-recorded "Love Story" the last chorus seems to be slightly changed. Instead of singing, "baby just say yes," Taylor seems to sing, "baby just SAID yes." Since Taylor is known for hiding easter eggs throughout everything, many assumed this change was on purpose, a way to share with fans that she is engaged.

So, Taylor referring to Joe as her "boyfriend" in this new interview throws a slight wrench in those suspicions. Of course, there is the chance that this interview occurred before said engagement, as it was conducted in early November. It is possible that they got engaged after that, if they did get engaged at all. One thing we definitely learn from this article, though, is that Taylor is getting more and more comfortable talking about her relationship with Joe with the public, which is good news for us Swifties.
