Ananya Birla marks her maiden innings in Punjabi singing with ‘Teri Meri Kahani’

MUMBAI: Celebrating the advent of the wedding season in India, the multi-platinum artist and businesswoman, Ananya Birla is gearing up to unleash her very first wedding track titled ‘Teri Meri Kahani’ that marks her inaugural innings in Punjabi singing.

Touted to be the wedding anthem of the year, the feisty showcase is performed by Ananya, produced by Rahul Sathu and co-written by Kunaal Vermaa and SK Khalish
Melodic, dreamy and peppy; the track talks about that one unforgettable memorable love story that most people experience at least once in their lifetime. Accompanied by vibrant and happy wedding vibes, the music video of the track captures the idea of the perfect dream wedding notion imagined by most teenage girls.

Ananya expands, “This track marks my maiden innings in singing in Punjabi, which makes me nervous but also excited. The track is all about that crazy romantic kind of love, a narrative I personally endorse. The energy of the track is infectious and befits the wedding season that has just begun. It is the kind of track that will make you want to sing along and dance. I wish all the listeners many celebratory moments that call for Teri Meri Kahani to be played.”

Further elaborating on her experience of playing a reel bride for the very first time in the music video she adds, “The song was all about many firsts for me and so it’s extremely special. The video was such a turning point for me, I had to really step out of my comfort zone to shoot this one. I thoroughly enjoyed sporting a traditional look and doing some film inspired dance moves in the music video. A lot of girls whilst growing up daydream about that perfect wedding and that’s what this cool video is based around. I hope the listeners enjoy watching the music video as much as I enjoyed creating it.”

In the recent past, Ananya has collaborated with AR Rahman on Hindustani Way for the Tokyo Olympics and performed Inaam, the title track of Rudra - The Edge of Darkness.
The song releases on Ananya’s YouTube channel followed by all major streaming platforms today.
