IPL Radio, mobile, internet rights bagged by Times Internet

A consortium led by Times Internet Ltd, part of the Times of India Group, has won for Rs 2.62 billion the IPL's global Radio, mobile and Internet rights, along with television rights in certain territories. The four-year rights run through 2014, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary N Srinivasan said.

Harrish M Bhatia: The Radio section of IRS is an utter waster of time!

Asked for his views on the findings of Q4 of the IRS results on Radio, Harrish M Bhatia, the tenacious CEO of the 17-station MY FM network, certainly doesn't mince his words. Rubbishing the IRS results' finding that Radio has de-grown, he wonders how any media planner can take big buy decisions on the basis of a stagnant report that reports a sheer sample size of 9 for a city like Raipur.

Supreme Court stays 2% Music Royalty order of Copyright Board

MUMBAI: 94.3 MY FM was conferred an award at The Laadli Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity 2010-2011. Pubcaster wants Govt to fund salaries, half op ex; finalizes candidates for DG AIR and DD

NEW DELHI: In a meeting on Wednesday, the Prasar Bharati Board decided to recommend to the Group of Ministers that the Government should meet 100% of the expenses on salaries and allowances of the employees and 50% of operating expenses of Prasar Bharati, while the pubcaster will meet the balance 50 per cent of the operating expenses. It was also decided that the public service broadcaster will meet 100% of the expenses for programming related work  The existing provision requires Prasar Bharati to generate at least 50% of its operating expenses as commercial revenue.
