Singer cum actor Ipsitaa, who came into the limelight after singing song “First Kiss’ with the popular Honey Singh and also known to sing many of her cover songs has recently sung for a peppy track ‘Dilbara’. It is a rather an upbeat track where she has featured in it too. Released on JJust Music the song has garnered much love and appreciation from the audience.
In a recent interview, Ipsitaa has not only revealed her experience working on the song, but also her dream project and a lot more.
1. How was your experience working on Dilbara?
I had a great time both while recording the song and filming the video! It’s such a fun song and everyone involved in the making of Dilbara brought their happiest, most vibrant selves into the process, which has made this track very memorable for me!
2. Memories that you made while working on the song?
From the dance rehearsals to costume fittings, I think every step was full of a lot of trial and error, and thus, laughter (as it’s always the best medicine and remedy). On set, we only had one day to shoot the video, so everything was extremely fast-paced, but we still managed to pack in a lot of fun along the way. I think the whole team worked really hard on this one and we all had a blast together!
3. Please give us a glimpse of your upcoming projects.
Most recently, I’ve experimented with a hip hop (trap) song that I’m super excited to release!
I have been writing my own songs in English and Hindi, mostly in the pop genre, and a couple in the slower, nostalgic (Adele/Sam Smith-type) zone.
4. What is your dream project?
A project in which I am able to gracefully bring my Western training (in Opera and English pop) and make it palatable to and relatable for the wider Indian audience. I am experimenting with a lot of soundscapes to discover what this might end up sounding like! P.S. - Any ideas from our lovely readers are welcome (DM on Instagram - @ipsitaaofficial).
