MUMBAI: Prepare for a mesmerizing celebration of Indian classical music as "Raagdari GENNXT" returns in its second edition at the iconic Prithvi Theatre. The event will take place on 8th October 2023, from 7.30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m., featuring a brilliant lineup of young and talented artists who represent the future of classical music.
This remarkable event is entirely acoustic, without the use of amplifiers or microphones.
Indian Classical Music is a world of emotions, woven together by two fundamental elements: Raag and Taal. When these elements come together, they create something truly magical called "Raagdari."
In the world of Hindustani music, each performance is a unique journey filled with improvisation. Artists draw from their musical lineage (Gharana), the time of day (Prahar), the essence of nature (Prakruti), and the power of emotions (rasa) to create a musical masterpiece. But what makes each performance truly special is the artist's personal touch and expression, making Raagdari a deeply personal and unique experience for both the artist and the audience.
What sets "Raagdari GENNXT" apart is its dedication to showcasing emerging talent on an independent platform, ensuring their performances are heard distinctively. This event bridges the gap between preserving tradition and nurturing the future of classical music.

Shashi Vyas, the Director of Pancham Nishad, emphasizes the importance of preserving our cultural heritage while also nurturing emerging talent. He envisions a future that values both seasoned and up-and-coming artists. According to him, "Our mission is to kindle a passion for music that transcends generations. In other words, we should explore the opportunities of establishing a dedicated platform for our young talents, one that operates independently enabling the gradually built-up audience to evaluate their performance off the influence of established senior artists. This strategic approach serves a dual purpose: it not only allows our audience to discover and appreciate budding talent but also fosters a mindset where the quality of music takes precedence over an artist's fame or seniority."
About GRACE Foundation: GRACE Foundation is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Indian Classical Music through events, education, and support for emerging artists, ensuring this timeless tradition thrives for generations to come.
