Lollapalooza 2024: Indian artist lineups- From Prabh Deep to The Raghu Dixit Project

MUMBAI: As the highly anticipated Indian edition of Lollapalooza 2024 approaches, music enthusiasts nationwide are gearing up for a dynamic two-day music extravaganza. Building on the immense success of its Asia debut in India last year, the global music festival promises to be even more spectacular.

This year’s Lollapalooza in India boasts headlining performances by internationally acclaimed acts such as The Jonas Brothers, Sting, Halsey, and One Republic. While The Jonas Brothers and Halsey make their debut in the country, Sting and One Republic return to captivate their significant fan base. Set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course, the festival will feature a mesmerizing classical performance by Anoushka Shankar on day two. However, the spotlight will also be on a diverse array of Indian artists, ranging from the dynamic Delhi-based rapper Prabh Deep to the beloved indie-folk ensemble When Chai Met Toast from Kerala.

Prabh Deep
Renowned as one of GQ’s Best Dressed individuals, Prabh Deep is poised to ignite the stage on day two of Lollapalooza 2024. The hip-hop sensation recently dropped the compelling EP “King Returns,” a six-track masterpiece that follows his acclaimed 2019 release, “King.”

When Chai Met Toast
Bringing a dose of feel-good and breezy acoustics, the indie-folk band from Kerala, known for hits like “Khoj” and “When We Feel Young,” will spread positive vibes on day one of the festival.

The Raghu Dixit Project
Recognized as ‘India’s biggest cultural export’ by The Guardian, The Raghu Dixit Project combines a global sound with deep roots in Indian culture.

 

Dualist Inquiry
A veteran in the EDM scene since 2013, Sahej Bakshi, aka Dualist Inquiry, promises an electrifying performance for electronic music enthusiasts.

Parvaaz
Hailing from Bengaluru, this rock band delivers a potent fusion of progressive and psychedelic sounds, featuring lyrics primarily in Kashmiri and Urdu.

The Karan Kanchan Experience
Drawing inspiration from Japanese classical music, Karan Kanchan, a prominent figure in hip-hop and EDM circles, is set to mesmerize the audience with his unique collaborations and compositions.

Komorebi
The artist behind the enchanting intro track for “Made in Heaven,” Komorebi, along with Gaurav Raina, promises a celestial journey with solo tracks like “Chanda” and “Ud Ke Chali.”

Parekh & Singh
Niche purveyors of Indian dream pop, this Kolkata-based musical duo, Nishchay Parekh and Jivraj Singh, known for their Wes Anderson-esque music videos, will grace the stage on day two.

Skrat
Hailing from Chennai, this heavy rock band, known for crafting music around fictional characters and dreamlands, offers a distinctive and rewarding experience for rock enthusiasts.  

Kamakshi Khanna
From contributions to “The Kota Factory” to “Modern Love” in Mumbai, singer-songwriter Kamakshi Khanna blends pop, RnB, Soul, and folk, creating a vibe that will sway the audience.  

Shashwat Bulusu
Based in Baroda, Shashwat Bulusu’s compositions in both Hindi and English are sure to leave a lasting impression on both the mind and soul as he takes the stage on day two of the festival.
