MUMBAI : Renowned Indipop artist Raghav Mathur has been busy rewriting history as his iconic track "Teri Baaton" graced the silver screen earlier this season! Emerging as the headlining track and the title of the recently released Bollywood film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, the party anthem of 2000s has revived it’s spot as an eternal hit by sweeping away hearts, million at a time!

After jumping to top spot on Youtube and #2 on Instagram earlier this month, he’s back with a new release ‘Choro’ giving in to popular public demand. Joined by Mushtaq yet again post tearing up the dancefloor and global charts with ‘Desperado’ last year, the R&B track celebrates Raghav’s signature globally-alluring style. With the thumping sound of contemporary R&B mixed with a vintage Bollywood sample, it juxtaposes his timeless appeal with temporal and cross-generational freshness. The sample is used from ‘Piya Aiso Jiya Mein Samaya Gayo’ as sung by Geeta Dutt from the 1962 film ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Ghulam’.

Internet’s most favorite voice and reason to hitchhike a trip down memory lane, Raghav’s resurgence and viral stint on social media has shifted the gears of his peaceful career into a ‘dream comeback’.

Commenting on ‘Choro’, he expressed, “This song unlike most of my others is not me longing for love, but actually being sceptical about getting too deeply involved with someone. It explores the complexity of a relationship and the ‘grey’ we’ve experienced in love. The video will surely give more context to the storyline of the song and I’m super excited for it. Releasing the track during the season of love is a deliberate move because it’s an anthem for those of us who don’t have our love lives all figured out yet… Yes, that’s me!”
