‘Framework presents Solomun’ will make history as the first public show to take place at Mandalay Generating Station, an abandoned power plant in Southern California

MUMBAI: Framework, one of the world’s leading independent purveyors of underground music experiences, has teamed up with underground kingpin Solomun to produce the first-ever public show at Mandalay Generating Station, an abandoned power plant in Oxnard, CA.

Taking place on Saturday, June 1, Framework presents Solomun will further bolster Framework’s vaunted reputation for transforming unlikely spaces into unprecedented guest experiences.

Mandalay Generating Station is a sprawling, 56-acre power station space on the Pacific Ocean coastline, providing an ideal industrial location to match Solomun’s melodic house sounds.

The event represents the culmination of a fruitful, 10+ year creative partnership between Framework and the Bosnian, three-time DJ Awards winner.

Solomun and Framework share more than a decade of success in collaboratively curating unforgettable musical moments, from the Diynamic label boss performing at Sound Nightclub in 2014, appearing at Shrine Outdoors in 2019 where they debuted a special horizontal layout at the venue, and soundtracking Framework’s sold out events at Pershing Square in 2021 and Exposition Park in 2023.

Pre-registration for the event is available now - sign up now for pre-sale access on Wednesday, March 27 at 10am PST. General on-sale for Framework presents Solomun on Wednesday, March 27 at 3pm PST.

Leading up to the monumental Solomun event, Framework is staying busy with a bevy of other star-studded events. During Coachella’s first weekend, Framework will host their annual Framework in the Desert afterparty event series (press release), which will take place Friday, April 12 - Sunday, April 14 at the Atlantic Aviation airport hangar in Thermal, CA. Headlined by Charlotte de Witte, Dom Dolla, and John Summit, Framework in the Desert offers the perfect secondary location for night owl festival-goers who didn’t get to catch their favorite dance music artists during the day - or simply just can’t get enough of them.

Coinciding with Framework in the Desert will be the beginning of the yearly 7 Days of Framework at Sound. Taking place between Coachella weekends - from Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 20 - at renowned LA dance venue Sound Nightclub, this year’s 7 Days of Framework at Sound lineup features headliners Purple Disco Machine, Reinier Zonneveld, Folamour, Miss Monique, Adam Ten x Mita Gami, Innellea (DJ Set), and the world debut of Maz b2b Ben Sterling - a stacked lineup that will once again deliver a marathon of pulsating underground sounds from a roster of world-class house and techno talents.

After both of those flagship Framework events wrap and before Framework presents Solomun, the brand will continue showcasing top-drawer talent across Southern California. On Saturday, May 4, Framework presents Keinemusik will mark the German record label/collective’s largest Los Angeles show to date. The sold-out event will see the collective bring their signature ‘Peace Kloud’ inflatable to the City of Angels for the very first time.

Founded in 2013, Framework (which owns Sound Nightclub) has hosted upwards of 200 artists and 1.1 million guests across 35 venues internationally, becoming the principal consultant, talent buyer, and event producer for businesses and brands looking to present novel nightlife experiences to their markets.

In addition to owning and operating Sound, Framework’s dynamic portfolio includes successful endeavors such as opening the newly-minted The Spotlight; producing Wynn Las Vegas’ bi-annual Art Of The Wild festival; and making history by shutting down Hollywood Blvd for Fisher and Chris Lake’s 12,000 person “Under Construction” bonanza.
