The show will feature vocalist, songwriter and producer Rushaki (Goa), rock/industrial duo PxP (Pratika x PrabhuNeigh) with a live band, avant-garde and experimental art rock outfit Serpents of Pakhangba, and electronic music genius FuzzCulture. Be prepared to have your conscience tickled, as you listen to narratives you experience, and get a load of a whole lot of new music coming out before release.

About the artists:

Based in Goa, singer-songwriter-producer Rushaki has quickly carved her own

space within the vibrant Indian independent music scene. She released her debut album,

"She Speaks," in June 2022. Rushaki's sound can be described as dark electronic pop inspired by various genres. Her sound can be compared to a blend of modern-day Evanescence and the sonic landscapes of Grimes and Sevdaliza. Haunting vocals intertwine with experimental compositions, pushing the boundaries of her sound and captivating listeners with simple yet melancholic songwriting. With her undeniable talent and captivating sound, Rushaki is an artist to watch, ready to leave an indelible mark on the Indian music scene and beyond.

PxP

The sibling duo bring an all-new sound, debuting with performances from their upcoming full-length through singer, songwriter and composer Pratika’s voice and storytelling, along with music producer, sound engineer, former drummer, now guitar player PrabhuNeigh’s production. Pratika and PrabhuNeigh have channeled all their influences to create a sound that merges rock riffs, electronic bass drops and trills, along with vocals across rap, clean singing, sporadic screams, and konnakol. With a new concept album that talks about the destruction and re-establishment of civilization, PxP will be taking the stage with Reinhardt Dias (guitars, BLAKC), Shishir Thakur (drums, Anand Bhaskar Collective) and Roop Thomas (bass).

Serpents of Pakhangba

Pakhangba is the name given to the primordial dragon deity in Manipur. Formed by multi-instrumentalist composer-producer Vishal J. Singh (known for his internationally-acclaimed genius Avant-Prog brainchild Amogh Symphony), Serpents Of Pakhangba is a retelling of Asian mysticism and shamanic art in the zone of "Equal between Divine Masculinity and Divine Femininity" in an artistic, meditative yet dissonant and much heavier way. Mentioned by local music journals as "Feminist Centric" Art-Metal, Serpents Of Pakhangba creates massive positive energy in their live performance through storytelling in their songs while combining dissonant avant garde, modern metal with Asian chants and mysticism.

FuzzCulture

FuzzCulture is the live electronica moniker of Arsh Sharma, whose sound is defined by potent electro-pop melodies set against dance music. Having toured Southeast Asia thrice consecutively when signed to Universal Music, the act also played festivals in India like

Vh1 Supersonic, New Wave Music Festival Asia and Red Bull Tour Bus. Having released 3 full-length albums, among FuzzCulture's latest offerings is the EP Violent Delights released in November 2023, featuring self-directed and self-animated music videos for all accompanying music videos. This set the stage for the current ambitious 2024 project: 52 songs and 52 videos in 52 weeks, with Arsh Sharma handling animation and direction in real-time, emphasizing creative output over conventional expectations.

Who is this event for? - For everyone who wants to watch a fresh Indian indie lineup, for people who are fans of equality in music programming, for fans of comic book series, science fiction, horror, and fantasy, for gamers, and for fans of good, 100% original music performed live.

Event theme:

A dark and desolate future dawned as humanity continued to purge through the last surviving habitable zones on the planet. Leaving no resource to drain, it was but an inevitability that humanity would meet such a fate. Overpopulated cities were drowned by their own sinful assimilation of everything around them, all the flora and fauna stripped from a globe that once bloomed and witnessed cycles of day and night. Now, under murky skies through which no light penetrates, consumed by humanity’s ever-increasing greed and nature’s instinctive wrath, we tread, we scavenge, and crawl to find an ounce of bliss. Our minds are riddled with faint memories of the past, and impending trauma, as we hear the echoes of those who tried to warn us of what was bound to come.

We reflect on - What if? What if we just listened? What if we allowed ourselves to absorb the goodness of nature, and set aside our ambitious, but foolish ways? All we can do now is welcome you to our Desi Dystopia.
