MUMBAI: Family Alliance in Music (FAM) is redefining what it means to thrive in the music industry. Launched earlier this year, FAM has already made waves by fostering a space where professional ambition and family life can coexist by providing community and educational events focused on family care, benefit options and essential support for industry professionals.
This past Sunday, December 1, FAM partnered with the Grand Ole Opry to bring holiday cheer to the heart of the music industry. Before the iconic Christmas at the Opry show, families of music professionals were invited to enjoy festive activities, including cookie decorating, crafts, a hot chocolate bar and even a visit from Santa. The event allowed professionals to share their love of music with their loved ones in an environment designed just for them.
“The Grand Ole Opry represents the heart and soul of Nashville’s music industry, and being a part of such a meaningful event was an honor for FAM,” said Jackie Jones, Co-Founder of Family Alliance in Music. “It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of family and community, allowing us to bring our whole selves to our work while building deeper connections with one another.”
This fall, FAM hosted an educational panel on fertility, offering professionals the tools and knowledge to navigate their personal and professional lives with confidence. Other recent events include the Girls of Nashville and Songbird by Caitlyn Smith live music fundraising events which brought the community together and raised critical funds for family care resources while celebrating the power of music to share stories and connect us.
This Giving Tuesday, FAM invites the community to join its mission of creating a balance between career and family life. By raising funds, the organization plans to continue to provide community and educational events, resources, and advocacy. In addition, FAM plans to provide grants to music industry professionals in need of assistance.
