MUMBAI: Known for his soulful renditions of divine love, Sufi singer Bismil is ready to embrace a different kind of duet. The singer will tie the knot with Shifa Khan on January 5 in Jaipur. Sharing his excitement, he says, 'There’s a mix of nervousness and joy. My family, friends, and team are working tirelessly to make everything perfect, from the tiniest details to the grandest arrangements. It’s a beautiful chaos, and I’m savoring every bit of it."

For Bismil, marriage is much more than a union - it's a meaningful partnership. "It’s about two souls supporting, inspiring, and growing together. Marriage is about creating a home filled with love, trust, and respect while celebrating individuality. To me, it’s life’s most beautiful duet."

Speaking about his bride-to-be, Shifa Khan, Bismil describes her as “grounded, kind, and full of positivity.” He shares, “We met through family connections, and our bond grew naturally over time. Our families clicked instantly, and everything fell into place beautifully - like it was always meant to be."

Bismil has a few surprises planned for his special day. “I’ve written a song especially for Shifa, which I’ll perform at the sangeet. I’ve also chosen a personal and meaningful gift that I know will bring a smile to her face.”

The wedding festivities will include a blend of tradition and personalization. “We’re having all the traditional ceremonies like haldi, mehendi, a Sufi night, and the Nikah, followed by an after-party. Each function will reflect our personal style while honoring the rituals.”

Balancing his India tour with wedding preparations hasn’t been easy, but Bismil says it’s been worth it. “It was a challenge, but when you love what you do, you find a way. My family and team have been a great support, handling many of the preparations while I was on tour. During breaks, I joined planning sessions over video calls.”

With just days to go, Bismil is ready to embark on this new journey, adding a harmonious duet to his repertoire of love.
