Amaal Mallik, Arijit Singh come together for a new track 'Chal Wahan Jaate Hain'

MUMBAI: After the success of 'Zindagi Aa Raha Hoon Main', Amaal Mallik is ready with yet another track 'Chal Wahan Jaate Hain', which will have vocals by Arijit Singh. The track has been written by Rashmi Virag and will be released soon, along with a T-Series produced music video that will feature Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon.

Mallik has been associated with T-Series; since the success of his track 'Sooraj Dooba Hai' from the film 'Roy'. After which he inked a deal with T-Series, which is currently managing his work, but he is also free to work other labels. Commenting on his new track 'Chal Wahan Jaate Hain', Mallik said, “I have experimented in this song and the track is a romantic ballad. I have also added elements of dubstep."

Talking about working with Singh, Mallik revealed, “I tried two or three singers for the same, but I thought Arijit Singh would be the best voice for the song.” He also shared his experience working with lyricist Rashmi Virag. He said, “I always wanted to work with her and finally, I got a chance to do so. We penned the lyrics at her place.”

The music video shoot will take place sometime in June and will be released soon after.
Like Mallik's previous single, 'Zindagi Aa Raha Hoon Main', which featured Tiger Shroff, the new romantic track will also see Shroff romancing Sanon.

His previous Bollywood projects include the title song of 'Jai Ho' and 'Tumko Ana Hi Tha, (Love You Till The End)' which is also from 'Jai Ho' in 2014. Commenting on his association with Salman Khan, Mallik said, “Since, I was not part of 'Kick' there was lot of negativity around me. Critics stated I did not have it in me. Being a 22 year old, it was very difficult for me handle the situation.” There was a point when Mallik revealed that he was on the verge of quitting the industry as nothing worked for him since 'Jai Ho'.

Mallik goes on to praise T-Series and Bhushan Kumar, for giving him the break he was looking for, after his track 'Sooraj Dooba Hai' became a hit.

Currently, Mallik is working on film projects like 'Hero', 'Calendar Girls', 'Sanam Re' and a few more. He has also worked with Kailash Surendranath, Sandeep Chowta, Pritam, Salim -Sulaiman and Amar Mohile.
