MUMBAI: His composition for the track 'Har Kisi Ko' from the movie 'Boss' in 2013 strummed the hearts of a million, helping Chirantan Bhatt bag yet another project in the form of 'Gabbar is Back'. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The first song 'Teri Meri Kahani' composed by Bhatt has been receiving a lot of positive responses. Within four days of its release, the track has got more than one million views on YouTube.  The vocals for the song are rendered by Palak Muchhal and Arijit Singh, while the lyrics have been penned by Manoj Yadav.

"The melody for 'Teri Meri Kahani' was created long ago. It was when we recorded 'Har Kisi Ko' with Arijit Singh, I had asked him to sing the 'mukhda', and since I had already worked with Akshay Kumar, he had a few of my tunes," said Bhatt. He is extremely elated with the kind of response he has got from the song and labels it as his "biggest song till date". Apart from 'Teri Meri Kahani', Bhatt has composed another song for the same film, which is yet to be released.

Bhatt never thought that he would become a composer, as he always wanted to do something different, which is why he even learnt audio engineering. "I worked as an audio engineer for a while, but later I got to know that this is not really something that I wanted. I was more inclined towards composing, so I did my first film 'Mission Istanbul' and here I am now, on my musical journey," he explained.

He revealed that he hardly listened to Indian music then, as he was a fan of international music. "My sisters kept listening to the radio, and I do hear Indian music, but not too much. Artistes like Jim Morison and Roger Waters influenced me greatly. My favourites in Bollywood are AR Rahman, Vishal Shekhar, and Shankar Ehsaan Loy. However I do not follow them religiously," he said.

Despite being the grandson of noted producer/ director Vijay Bhatt, who directed films like 'Himalaya Ki God Mein', 'Baiju Bawra' and many others, Bhatt has always maintained a very low profile. "People did not know that I am closely associated with the director Vikram Bhatt. But when I started working with him, people automatically figured out that we are cousins." he elucidated.

Having composed music for films like 'Ragini MMS 2', 'Boss' and others, he is completely fine with the concept of multi composers.

'Gabbar is Back' is slated to release on 1 May, 2015.
