MUMBAI: The first known recording by Elvis Presley will be put up for auction in January 2015, and is expected to fetch anywhere between $75,000 and $100,000. According to reports, the record is a 78 rpm acetate that was recorded in August 1953, when the King of Rock and Roll was just 18 years old. The record is said to include two tracks- 'That's When Your Heartache Begins', a 1941 hit by Ink Spots and 'My Happiness' a pop hit by Jon and Sondra Steel from 1948.

The record, which is believed to have been a gift for his mother, will be part of an auction that will be held on 8 December next year, marking what would have been Presley's 80th birthday. It will be facilitated by Graceland, the singer's Memphis home, and will include over 60 other items belonging to the 'Heartbreak Hotel' singer.

Along with the only copy of Presley's earliest known record, the auction will also include things like Presley's very first driver's license that was issued in 1952, and is estimated to bring in between $15,000 and $20,000. The auction will also have a signed copy of the singer's first single (That's All Right) for Sun Records, which is estimated to fetch between $10,000 and $15,000, his first aid kit from his army years ($4,500 to $5,500), and a contract to make an appearance on the radio show- 'Louisiana Hayride' in 1995, which is estimated at $30,000 to $50,000.
