MUMBAI: After endorsing consumer goods brands and lifestyle brands, singer/songwriter and Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar is now endorsing automobile manufacturing brand Ford's new car, Figo Aspire. This association with Ford is a part of the 'What Drives You?' campaign, which showcases the stories of Phanindra Sama (Co-founder & CEO, RedBus.in), Rajat Tuli and Rahul Anand (Co-founders, Happilyunmarried.com), Indrani Medhi (Researcher, Microsoft Research India) and Lakshmi Pratury(Curator, INK). To showcase these stories, there are drive-by interviews being held with Akhtar.
On his association with Ford, Akhtar said, "We are all driven by different things that we aspire for in our lives, both personally and professionally. The idea of a platform that helps people move a step closer to their aspirations made me instantly connect with the campaign. And when there is a synergy in ideologies, it is great to work together. I am looking forward to find out what drives India with the amazing new Figo Aspire."
Previously, Akhtar endorsed Hindustan Unilever's water purifier product titled Pureit, Vijay Mallya's alcohol firm United Spirits, and watchmaker Titan Industries. He was recently seen in the music video for the title track of the upcoming Bollywood film 'Dil Dhadakne Do'. For the track, Akhtar himself has lent his vocals alongside Bollywood actor turned singer Priyanka Chopra.
He will perform with his band Farhan Akhtar LIVE at Play for a Cause in Vasant Kunj in Delhi on Sunday, 10 May.
