MUMBAI: Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh hashas been ill for quite a long time. To add to his woes, he also met with an accident in America, which forced him to  opt out of The Slam! tour. If reports are to be believed the 31 year old rapper will no more be a part of the musical talent hunt show 'India’s Raw Star!’ and Himesh Reshammiya has stepped into the boots of a mentor.

Since the commencement of the show, he has only shot six episodes. Sources stated to a renowned site that Yo Yo was scheduled to return on Monday, 3 November but he called up to inform that he was still unwell. The doctors have advised him a bed rest or a couple of months.  

The music reality show has witnessed celebrity mentors like Himesh Reshammiya, Meet Brothers, Salim Suleiman. Reshammiya even signed three singers to record a song for him, which is why the makers decided to approach him.  The 'Jhalak Dikhlaja’ singer happily agreed to be a part of the show.

"When the makers approached him, he readily agreed and now he will be mentoring the remaining four episodes," the source said.
