MUMBAI: Singer Lily Allen reportedly has not had a drink in seven months and is house-hunting in Los Angeles.

The singer is focussing on her career and decided to ditch alcohol in an effort to make it here.

A source told Grazia magazine, "She was not enjoying herself anymore so she decided to stop drinking.

"She seems a lot happier. She is working out a lot. She looks really good and is a lot healthier."

Back in December, the 30-year-old star, who has daughters Ethel, 3, and Marnie, 2, revealed that she had given up drinking for a month in an effort to "grow up".

She is reportedly searching for a house here and wants her family to split their time between US and their home in the Cotswolds.

She calls Los Angeles her "happy place" and has fallen in love with the city, where she hopes to record her next album.

A source added, "Lily has been working with Sean Paul, who has collaborated with Beyonce (Knowles) and Rihanna. She knows LA is the place to make things happen.
