MUMBAI: Music composer Aadesh Shrivastava, who is a cancer survivor, has been hospitalised.
It may be recalled that in the year 2011, Shrivastava was diagnosed with blood cancer but had fought the disease. However, according to multiple sources in the industry, it is learnt that he's had a relapse and he has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, since the last few weeks.
It is also learnt that the family is keeping this under wraps and not many people are aware about the same. The people who have worked with him previously too are unaware of it.
Confirming the news to Radioandmusic.com, Anu Malik said, “I just heard the news of Aadeshji being hospitalised and I will go to visit him very soon. He has been a very dear friend of mine and also is a very hardworking person. My prayers are with his family and we all hope that he pulls through, the way he did last time.”
Singer Palak Muchhal said, "I was suppose to meet, however, due to my health conditions, I could not pay him a visit. His son is constantly asking all of us to pray for him, as his condition is still the same."
Another professional who has worked closely with Shrivastava informed that when he was ill the last time, he had even sold off his car in order to pay for the treatment.
In 2011, the ‘Mora Piya’ singer-composer was very upset with the way the B-town had cold shouldered him and did not even pay a visit, while he was battling cancer. Amongst the ones who had visited him were Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Shekhar Suman, lyricist Prasoon Joshi and director JP Dutta.
After his successful battle with cancer, he was actively involved in taking Shrivastava's Global Sounds of Peace project across the world.
