MUMBAI: Sony Music Entertainment’s Legacy Recordings has announced it will release a brand new Elvis Presley album that will feature classic vocal performances by the iconic singer, with a new orchestral accompaniment. The album titled, ‘If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’, will see a worldwide release on 30 October 2015, and will include a duet- ‘Fever’ with Canadian singer- Michael Buble.

‘If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ is produced by celebrated producers- Don Reedman and Nick Patrick, and recorded at London’s famous Abbey Road Studios. The 14-track album will feature some of Presley’s most popular performances, alongside new arrangements by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Speaking about the project, the singer’s former wife, Priscilla Presley said, “He would have loved to play with such a prestigious symphony orchestra. The music…the force that you feel with his voice and the orchestra is exactly what he would have done."

Reedman commented, “Abbey Road Studios and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are as good as it gets and Elvis deserves as good as it gets.”

In addition to Buble’s duet ‘Fever’ with the King of Rock and Roll, the album will also have appearances by Duane Eddy, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist, who will add his signature style to the tracks ‘Bridge Over Troubled Waters’ and ‘An American Trilogy’. Italian operatic pop trio Il Volo, will also lend vocals to ‘It’s Now Or Never’.

‘If I Can Dream’ is part of Elvis 80th Birthday Celebration in 2015. As part of the ongoing celebration, a newly, redesigned website has been launched, and ‘The Complete '60s Albums Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2’ has been released on iTunes. An exhibition of the “King’s” life, ‘Direct From Graceland: Elvis at the O2’ is also currently being held, until January 2016.
