MUMBAI: American rapper, Rick Ross has been arrested for possession of marijuana, reports state. The 39-year old was apparently pulled over by a police officer while driving his Bentley in Fayette County. Reports say that Ross was originally stopped for a window tint violation.
However, the officer is said to have smelt marijuana in the car, after which he searched the vehicle and found five marijuana spliffs. Ross, real name William Leonard Roberts II, was then booked under drug misdemeanour at Fayette County jail.
Reports also state that the arresting officer said that the rapper, who also has his own record label- Maybach Music Group, was well behaved and cooperative. This probably stems from the fact that Ross, at one time, used to also be a law enforcement officer before getting into the music industry.
This is not the first time Ross has been arrested for drug possession. The 'New Flame' hitmaker was arrested for weed possession in 2008 in Miami, and once again in 2011 in Louisiana. In 2014 he was once again arrested in North Carolina, for not appearing in court for the previous charge.
