MUMBAI: On the occasion of International Women's Day on 8 March, music streaming service Spotify compiled a list of the most-searched female artists on the music site. According to the list, singer Rihanna held supremacy as the favourite female artist among all Spotify listeners worldwide.
 
Rihanna was named the world's top streamed woman for the third year in a row. Katy Perry bagged the second spot followed by Beyonce Knowles then Lana Del Rey and finally Lady Gaga. The other ladies in list in the list are Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Ellie Goulding, Taylor Swift and in the end of the list is Royals' singer Lorde.
 
Barbarian singer received encouraging response for her collaboration with rapper Eminem for the song 'The Monster', last year. The song has been streamed over 200 million times on Spotify.
 
Meanwhile, Knowles was declared as the top female artist streamed by women on Spotify.
 
Surprisingly, Swift made it to both the list, even though, she removed her entire catalogue from the music streaming site.
