MUMBAI: Sonu Nigam is not afraid of ruffling a few feathers. His controversy on royalties against music label T- Series was an example of the 'Kal Ho Na Ho' singer putting his foot down and fearlessly expressing his opinion. Once again the 41 year old is in news, locking horns with yet another music label. Zee Music is said to have put a ban on Nigam, for recently speaking in favour of AAP leader- Kumar Vishwas.
It all started a couple of days ago when Nigam tweeted about Kumar Vishawas, who is a Hindi poet and also holds the post of National Executive of Aam Aadmi Party.
I am far from politics but I feel this truth should come out for the sake of my poet friend Kumar Vishwas. https://t.co/E4QWJrgg6c

Wonder should it not be illegal to ban someone on the pretext of nothing in a democracy? Influencing others to not work with an individual.

Well legal or illegal, one thing's for sure. Banning someone, is definitely unGodly.

The series of tweets by the singer has brought him a ton of support from his music fans and others on Twitter. Support for Nigam poured in through the hashtag #IStandWithSonu, which was trending on the micro blogging site.
Despite repeated attempts of trying to contact him, Nigam was unavailable for comment.
