Badtameez Dil's christening was mind-numbing for Amitabh Bhattacharya

MUMBAI: The final product that’s offered to one on the celluloid is always the filtered version, but it’s always interesting to know what did not make it to the final. Well-known Bollywood lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya recently went on to share one of his behind the scene stories.

The Manmarziyan lyricist was appreciated for his work in Badtameez Dil but did you know that this Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani song was titled differently earlier. Wondering what the names could have been? Well, let’s hear it from Bhattacharya: “Earlier it was Dil Dhadak Dhadak and then Karan (Johar) explained that this guy is drunk at a party and he is dancing. He also used the term raita while explaining the situation to me and I ended up using it in the song next. I called it Raita Phel Gaya. The name did not go well with anyone and the next option was Besharam Besharam, till we finally zeroed on Badtameez Dil.”

Interestingly, the ace lyricist had also given ten options for the Jagga Jasoos song Ullu Ka Pattha Hai.

Interesting facts, aren’t they!
