MUMBAI: It was a star-studded night as Manasi Scott made everyone groove to the tunes of her new album with an electrifying concert along with her amazing musicians at ASILO. The iconic singer has released her solo album titled MANASI ('The Ideal Woman'), after over a decade of her previous offering 'Naach Le'.

Present at the event were all of Manasi’s friends, who enthusiastically cheered for the diva.

And "ideal" woman in Manasi's books and someone she started her career with - Malaika Arora - unveiled Manasi's music video for the song 'Todona' from this album #MANASItheidealwoman. The multi-talented Manasi has also directed this video.

Known for her power packed performances, the Powerlist Awards 2016 for over 2000 live concerts across the world, Manasi has finally come out with this album!

Talking about how she decided to name the album, “My parents gave me a beautiful name. Manasi means 'the ideal woman' and it's an album that has my soul. So it's almost a tribute to the folks that made me.” said the gorgeous diva who was wearing a dazzling gown by Francesca.

The album has six songs comprising of a mix of old-school hip-hop, Disco-Bhangra, R&B and EDM for which Manasi has collaborated with some of the biggest artists from the music industry including Mika Singh, Palash Sen and Raghav Sachar to name a few. The songs are ‘Todona’, ‘Chashni’ featuring Palash Sen, ‘Farmaanaa’ featuring Ishq, ‘Kho Gaye’, ‘Saawan Raagaa’ featuring flute by Raghav Sachar and ‘Jamalo’ featuring Mika. Impactful lyrics for the album are delivered with co-writer Amitabh Bhattacharya. The album has been produced by Ashish Manchanda.

The songstress has put her heart and soul in this album and considers it as an extension to herself. Talking about what took her so long to come out with this album, Manasi said “The songs have been ready for a while but the independent music scene in our country is dismal. I was holding out for a decent presence and understanding of the digital world and I wanted to shoot my videos myself. Felt ready enough now to do it all and here I am.”

Manasi mesmerised the audiences with her electrifying performance and amongst the audience were many well known faces. After the concert, ace cricketer Zaheer Khan, rockstar director Abhishek Kapoor and the Sultan of heart, actor Amit Sadh, all huge Indie music 'Manasi' enthusiasts, formally launched the album via a first-of-it's-kind USB band with all songs and were all praises about it.
