MUMBAI: Karan Darra of 'Aashique 2', 'Blood Money', 'Khamoshiyan' fame is venturing out from the Mahesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films camp to direct his next film titled ‘Disco 82’ which will throw light on the underground party culture, dance music scene and major busts that happened in and around the country.

He has locked the cast for his next film which will star Amol Parashar, Akshay Oberoi, Rahul Chabbria, Vipin Sharma, Arif Zakaria, Ashish Verma . The film is a first of its kind as it dwells around a bust with 300 youngsters that happens over a night. The film is a bilingual with dialogues in English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati and is being produced under the HD Productions banner. The film is expected to go on floor in a few days.

Rahul Chabbria is already name to reckon with in the dance music scene while Akshay Oberoi will be seen as a lead in Kalagandi and Amol Parashar has a great number of web series to his credit.

Karan Darra states, "I consciously decided to not go with established names for this film because it’s a film that is quite heavy on content and we wanted younger looking fresh faces for the respective characters. The music of the film is quite interesting since it’s a film based on dance music we will have top DJs from across the world to contribute to the film in some way.

Karan decided to celebrate the locking of his cast at Bonobo in Mumbai.
