MUMBAI: Mumbai-based rap prodigy Naezy releases his new single 'Asal Hustle'. The newest single traverses Naved Shaikh’s journey of growing up in a ghetto in Mumbai. Originally written as an autobiographical song for the short documentary ‘Bombay 70’, Shaikh talks about the challenges of creating his own path in a vulnerable environment. Ghettos have their own rules. When you are young it is easy to sway onto the wrong path, hustling for money by doing illegal stuff is common. But the real hustle is fighting through these odds, when you work hard and earn without breaking laws. Through his music and lyrics, Shaikh continues in his endeavour to inspire his listeners with his story.
‘Asal Hustle’ follows the success his last socio-political single ‘Haq Hai’, where the Kurla rapper channels his rage towards the authoritarian crackdown on protests across the country and the fallout of the government's attempt at curbing dissidents and free speech in the country.
