MUMBAI: Mumbai-based electronica star Sandunes a.k.a. Sanaya Ardeshir releases her full-length album 'Downstream' today.
The nine-track LP, six months in the making, includes the single ‘Crystal Pink’, and features her analogue approach to the creation of sound, along with several resuscitated aspects of her musicianship.
This studio album comes on the back of an extensive tour of the U.S., and a year of alternating between roles as a founding member of the live duo 'Perfectiming', and creator of electronic sounds as Sandunes.
Following her last EP 'Unfinish' in December 2015, the latest album release will be accompanied by a completely new live and visual set, attempting to better serve her love for live music, through the artistry of electronic production.
"Recording Downstream was like the realization of ease, pleasure and flow that should be associated with music making as a process" - said Sanaya Ardeshir.
