MUMBAI: Oliver Heldens is back with another supremely tasty track under his full-on HI-LO guise. Except this time he’s taken things full circle and created a tight Oliver Heldens edit of the track The Answer, which takes on one of the most legendary house vocals of all time (from Danny Tenaglia & Celeda’s Music Is The Answer).

The track kicks off with a plump bassline working over thumping kicks and rising on-beat claps as the commanding vocal brings the vibes. A distorted electro riff filters up in tandem with the bass as the claps become rapid-fire and the reverb swells before we drop into a slick, almost acidic b-line groove. Heldens alternates between the intense builds and the stripped-back stomp with deft skill, and by the time a classic piano chord line joins in the final break we’re already at fever pitch. Typically phat production from the main man and the track’s perfect mix of classy simplicity and big room nous make it something that should fit into a huge array of different DJs’ sets.

“When I had the track 70% finished, I exported everything and put it in a different project, then edited again with new sounds and stuff” he explained on his Facebook page. “The reason why it's an Oliver Heldens edit is because this track's been getting super huge buzz from my sets, it just has to be more than just HI-LO!”

When he puts his full name to a track, you know he is confident it’s destined for very big things indeed.
