MUMBAI: Strengthening its commitment of building a platform for independent music in India, Sennheiser announced its third edition of Sennheiser Top 50-a battle of Indian bands to compete and make their way to the coveted list of Top 50 best bands in India. Post the success of its four Zonal Finales, Sennheiser is all ready to choose its winner from the top four finalists at the on-ground grand finale to be held on 21 September, Mumbai. The top four finalists from East, North, West and South- Avora Records, Knight Shades, The Family Cheese and When Chai Met Toast will be judged by none other than leading stalwarts of the music industry-Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendonsa, Raghu Dixit and Angaraag Papon Mahanta.
The evening would not just witness the battle of top four finalists, but it will also see The Raghu Dixit Project as the headline act for the evening. To further add to the music filled evening, Sennheiser Top 50 Season 2 winners- Parvaaz will also be performing during the evening.
The winning band will take home a Sennheiser equipment and two year endorsement deal with Sennheiser which will give them access to Sennheiser gear.
Sennheiser Professional Segment India director Vipin Pungalia commented on Sennheiser-Top50 saying, “All the four zonal on-ground battles were beyond thrilling. As per our jury it was a very difficult to shortlist our top 4 finalists from the Top 12 but we can see that choosing the best from the best would be a mammoth task for them. I wish all the luck to our finalists and I am sure that they will perform to the best of their capabilities.”
