MUMBAI: Born Danielle Gooding, Flava D has been hailed as the undisputed queen of Bass and her career graph is a testament to her relentless effort to produce music, constantly. The renowned music producer is all set to perform in India later this month that happens to be her debut tour.
Gooding will perform at Boxout.fm’s weekly residency #BoxoutWednesdays at Summer House Café in New Delhi, at Khar Social in Mumbai besides playing the last show of the tour in Bangalore at Fandom at Gilly’s Redefined.
Audiences in India can expect a signature Flava D set filled with pop hooks, sugary UKG, old favourites, and new bass anthems– a formula that has seen her gain innumerable fans and helped her take her sound not just across the UK, but also globally: the US, Australia, mainland Europe, and here in Asia.
The tour is organized by Mumbai based music management company Mixtape whose recent repertoire of tours includes the likes of Grammy-winning Tinariwen, and critically acclaimed artists like Telefon Tel Aviv, Clap! Clap!, Bill Brewster and Buttering Trio etc. to name a few.
The UK producer/DJ started making music at 16 and was a participant in London’s RBMA in 2010. By maintaining the purity of her initial enthusiasm, she has evolved from selling beats on Myspace to headlining club nights and festivals, all in a short span of time. A core member of London’s Butterz crew, she’s collaborated with luminaries like Wiley and My Nu Leng and her productions have received salutations from industry veterans like DJ EZ.
