MUMBAI: One week after wrapping up the fourth edition of Untold Festival in Cluj-Napoca, Romania numbers are starting to come in and they are impressive to say the least. In total, over 355.000 visitors attended the event over four days, capping at 92.000 people on the third day, breaking their previous record of 90.000.
Untold has been steadily climbing the ranks in the international festival circuit, each year growing on visitors and artists alike. With many A-list acts amazed with the festival’s production, extremely energetic crowd and overall vibe. From Steve Aoki calling his set a life-changing experience to receiving praise from The Chainsmokers to even having The Black Eyed Peas proclaim that they will personally make sure that Untold won’t be Eastern Europe’s best kept secret for long.
One of the festival’s long time favourites, Armin van Buuren outdid himself once again this year, remaining on stage for over seven hours, playing to a crowd upwards of 65.000 people. In previous years, van Buuren played extended sets as well, but never for as long as he did this time around. Other acts pulling in major crowds were The Black Eyed Peas, the king of tropical house Kygo and electro rock group The Prodigy.
In total over 250 artists performed over the course of four days, with the festival often closing down for only a couple of hours in the early morning to reset before a full day of music commenced again.
