MUMBAI: Swedish techno label Drumcode led by founder Adam Beyer marks another milestone in the history of the label with its successful first edition of Drumcode Festival, held last Saturday at the iconic industrial site NDSM Docklands in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
The festival, a collaboration between Adam Beyer and Awakenings, was proud to welcome over 15,000 visitors from more than 60 countries. The sold-out festival featured over 25 modern day techno artists spread out over 4 colour-coded stages that each represented the diverse sound of the label, showcasing its wide-spectrum within the techno realm. Acclaimed international headliners, such as Joseph Capriati, Amelie Lens, Nicole Moudaber and Ida Engberg joined Beyer and friends of the Drumcode family. This highly anticipated inaugural edition of the festival delivered on every level and sets the bar for future editions to come.
Adam Beyer said, "What an amazing first edition of Drumcode Festival! To sell out an event of this scale in year one is a huge achievement, I’m very happy and extremely proud. It was such a pleasure seeing everything come together after a year of hard work and planning. A massive thank you goes out to all the fans that attended as well as everyone else involved with the festival who made the day as special as it was."
