MUMBAI: A huge new club track set to dominate dancefloors worldwide, Chicago-born producer Kid Enigma has teamed up with the UK’s very own Riton for the release of the thumping new house anthem Dangerous alongside a lyric video.
Out today, Dangerous flaunts an irresistible bass-line, packed with club ready chord patterns, and an addictive hook which showcases the production prowess of both producers.
Tune into the lyrical video here:
Influenced by Chicago house classics of his home-city, American producer Kid Enigma had already secured his first residency by the age of 15. Influenced by the soulful New York sounds of M.A.W., Kerri Chandler and 1200 Warriors, the DJ soon began working under the tutorship of acts like Mark Farina, DJ Sneak and Derrick Carter.
“I wrote Dangerous as an inspiration to anyone who is self conscious and has ever been told they couldn’t be anything they wanted to be, or that they weren’t beautiful just the way they are,” added Kid Enigma. “We are all different. People love to talk, just let them converse. Put in work and love yourself. Be sure you are free, fly and fabulous, because THAT is what makes you dangerous to those who aren’t,” he added.
Best known for his hugely successful GRAMMY-nominated hit Rinse & Repeat, Riton’s track set a precedent for his burgeoning super-stardom. Teaming up with Nigerian vocalist Kah-Lo on a range of fan favourite hits including Fake ID, Up & Down and Ginger - the anthems received a wealth of radio support from Annie Mac at BBC Radio 1.
Having previously performed at the likes of Creamfields, SW4 Festival, and London’s Electric Brixton, Riton has enjoyed another hectic touring schedule in 2018, performing at Ushuaia Ibiza, Boardmasters, and Craig David’s TS5 pool party residency. Currently working in the studio with Diplo and Mark Ronson on their Silk City project, Riton also produced the duo’s recent hit ‘Electricity’ feat Dua Lipa.
''When I heard an early demo of ‘Dangerous’ I was hooked straight away and cheekily asked if I could jump in on the production as I had a few ideas,” adds Riton. “After we got it sounding phat, I tested it at Reading/Leeds Festival, and then also in Ibiza - with some mental mosh pit reactions!”
With both artists establishing themselves as highly in-demand names across the dance music scene, Dangerous continues the meteoric rise of both Kid Enigma and Riton, and looks sure to serve as real club floor filler this Autumn!
