MUMBAI: ShowCase events curated an unforgettable musical evening and lifetime experience by taking the audience through a journey of the true soul of Rajasthani Folk music.
The true ambassador of Rajasthani folk music - Kutle Khan brought alive the different colours of Rajasthani folk music from the desert. The show began with the Desi nagada’s creating the feel and environment of Folk culture from the land of love followed by the sweet melody of the Khamaycha and sarangi. This show also had 16 more musicians from the legendary and traditional families of Rajasthan. The Solankis of Pushkar with their Nagaras, Dare Khan from Jaisalmer with the Khamayacha, the saarangi, morchang, bhapang, dhoakl by the families from bikaner, barmer, Jaisalmer, jodhpur and Jaipur.
The King of Folk Kutle Khan took over the audience with his songs like Kersariya and many more. Jugalbandi’s and the amazing ghoomar by the Sapera ladies from Jodhpur, kept the audience on the edge of their seats with excitement.
The Show concluded with the dancers and musicians moving their feet to the all-time favorite song Nimbooda Nimbooda to give the complete feel of the Culture tour at The Royal Opera House. This was the premier Show of Sounds From The Desert, a folk musical tour by ShowCase events and they are looking forward to having many more shows with different artists all over the country.
