MUMBAI: Singer Songwriter Chandler Juliet is taking over the indie scene and beyond with three nominations at the Indie Music Channel Awards 2015 last weekend. Chandler Juliet attended and performed at the awards ceremony at the legendary Whisky a GoGo on April 26th where she took home the award for best Pop Record. The 20-year-old California native burned the brightest in the Pop Category claiming the coveted Best Pop Recording of the Year with "Road Trip."
Upon the arrival of her recently released single and music video "Road Trip," her achievement could not have come at a better time. The fireball performer is proving to be a star in her own right with fans all over the country and music industry insiders taking notice.

I love traveling and getting out of town, and getting out of my own comfort zone. I wanted road trip to have a fun and spontaneous and all around loud vibe. I had so much fun writing and producing Road Trip and I hope you all love it!!

The EP features songs she has written about past experiences, including heartbreak, loss, falling in love, learning to be yourself, and following your heart, but while always remembering to have fun. She describes her unique sound as, "a blend of pop, indie, and alternative" as well as incorporating other genres. She lists John Mayer, Katy Perry, and Jason Mraz, and Sara Bareilles as some of her influences.
