Ayushmann Khurrana's new song 'Ik Vaari' is overlong and monotonous

MUMBAI: T-Series has been releasing singles every week at the speed of light.

Yesterday, the music label released a new single, which is a teamwork of brothers Ayushmann and Apaarshakti Khurrana. The song has been composed and penned by the Khurrana bothers and sung by Ayushmann.

The video features newbie actress Neha Sharma's sister Aisha Sharma along with Ayushmann.

Well, the 'wanna be' romantic track doesn't sound much like something out of the box. Instead, it is just another Ayushmann Khurrana number, which has been dragged unnecessarily over 4 minutes 59 seconds. Glad, it didn't enter the 5 minutes zone.

Another thing that makes the rendition spiritless, is that it sounds as if you have heard it before. Within a few seconds, you will get the notion that 'Ik Vaari' is the Punjabi version of the song 'Tu Meri Zindagi Hai' from the 1990 blockbuster hit film 'Aashiqui'.

The audio is lacking the punch and the visuals too do not match at all. Ayushmann, who is seen dancing uncomfortably with Aisha cannot recreate the charm for which he is popular.

Surely, the audience wishes to hear a musical piece, which they can play over and over. In this case, you are simply glad it is over.
