Original Humma Humma song gets a contemporary twist

MUMBAI: 1998 release Bombay continues to remain one of the greatest Bollywood masterpieces ever created. The Mani Ratnam directed movie featured soundtrack, composed by AR Rahman, and although it has been almost two decades since its release, the song 'Humma Humma' still remains to be the Mozart of Madras' one of the most popular creations ever.

The music director has teamed up with Shaad Ali for the first time after 2002 release 'Saathiya' and that is not the only highlighting factor for the duo's upcoming collaborative effort for the movie 'OK Jaanu'. The song 'Humma Humma' has been recreated for the movie, reworked by rapper Badshah and music director Tanishk Bagchi.

The recreation of 'Humma Humma' from 'OK Jaanu' serves the same energy and one cannot stop tapping its feet. Yes, the new 'Humma Humma' song has been one of the best recreated songs of 2016.

Badshah who rapped in the song, said, “I am equally excited and nervous, as working on a AR Rahman song is a rare opportunity” . Along with Badshah, Tanishk Bagchi has also worked on the track while Jubin Nautiyal and Shashaa Tirupati’s voice bring the track alive.

Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur's contemporary dance moves and looping chemistry adds the visual 'spark' to the song.
