Mohit Suri, Mithoon and Jeet Gannguli have teamed up for ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, which features Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. As the film is based on Mahesh Bhatt’s parents, it is written by Bhatt himself. Within a couple of days of its release, the title track ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ had more than a million views on YouTube. Radioandmusic.com brings to you the music review of the album.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani:

The title tracks starts with a piano and light violins in the background. The track rather unlike Jeet Gannguli, who usually uses the guitar as a primary instrument in most tracks he composes. For ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, the composer has used a lot of flutes and violins. Arijit Singh’s vocals are soothing as usual, and the lyrics by Rashmi Virag add to the track’s appeal. The second version of the track, sung by Jeet Gannguli, is as good as Singh’s version. Overall, it is a good track, and could remain on playlists for a long time.

Humnava:

Post his tracks in ‘Alone’, singer/ composer/ songwriter Mithoon dishes out another melodious number in the form of ‘Humnava’. Crooned by Papon, you can certainly listen to this track on repeat. The song is melodious and the lyrics by Saayed Quadri are just amazing. The song is very deep in terms of music arrangement and lyrics. Full marks to the team for this musical gem.

Hasi:

Ami Mishra, a fresh talent, offers a musical delight in the form of ‘Hasi’. The number is both, composed and crooned by him, while the female version of ‘Hasi’ is sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Penned by Kunaal Vermaa, both versions are extremely soothing and the composer has done a great job. The song is already promoted well, and could gain more popularity.

Yeh Kaise Jagah:

Gannguli introduces the fresh voice of Deepali Saathe with Yeh Kaise Jagah. Like the other tracks on the album, this one is sure to win many fans. Vocals by Saathe provide an edge to Gannguli’s soulful compositions. He combines flutes and guitar, adding the element of emotion. The track grows on you and you could end up listening to it on repeat.

Overall the tracks of 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' meet the expectations of having such an established music team. The film is touted to hit the silver screens on 12 June, 2015.
