In 2015, Harmanpreet Kaur and Parry G from Punjab and J&K (Singing – fusion of Bollywood and rap) stole the hearts of judges as well as audiences and reached the shortlisted five finalists.
India’s Got Talent celebrates the true potential of talent housed in various parts of the country, be it acrobatics, dance or shadow play. Music has always been integral to the show as well.
In 2015, Harmanpreet Kaur and Parry G from Punjab and J&K respectively (Singing – fusion of Bollywood and rap) turned out to be a personal project taken up by the jury. The melodious voice of Harmanpreet was paired with Parry G’s rapping. While the audience rooted for the pair, Karan Johar went the extra mile by naming the couple ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Musical Jodi’.
In 2010, the IGT season was won by the Shillong Chamber Choir from Shillong. This group was led by Neil Nongkynrieh, who is also a professional pianist. The Choir group is known for their powerful Khasi opera with a western music fusion.
