MUMBAI: Abhijit Ghoshal, who is one of the jury members of Zee TV's 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' is looking at releasing a single, themed around the girl child. The singer who himself has a beautiful daughter had been wanting to create a song around girl child for a while, but everything fell in place recently.
The singer-composer was on his way to an event when the organisers asked if he could pull in a song around girl child and Ghoshal promptly said a 'yes'. The positive nod led to him penning down the beautiful melody on his way to the venue and then performing it. "It all happened really fast. They wanted a song for a girl child because they were also rooting for the same cause at this event. The message, however, reached me only before I boarded my flight to reach the venue. Thus, I wrote the song on the way and now it will also have a video," said Ghoshal.
The track titled 'Meri Pyari Gudiya' is majorly inspired by the musician's daughter. "I wrote the song keeping my little angel in mind. She is really young but, amazingly inquisitive and sensitive. I believe boys can never have these qualities," said Ghoshal who roped in Shaan to sing the track.
Shaan has recorded for the track and the video of the same is being shot in Ahmedabad. However, the 'Bum Bum Bole' singer will not feature in the song video. The video will be a narrative one with two actors play the role of father-daughter in it.
On getting Shaan onboard Ghoshal said, "I played the music to Shaan, he really liked it and agreed to sing it."
The video is being created with the help of crowd funding, under which monetary contribution comes from all sides. However, in 'Meri Pyari Gudiya's' case 90 per cent of the funding has come from Confluence Military Academy, Chattisgarh.
The music of the same has been composed by music trio Abhijit-Aniket-Adil.
In most probability, the 'Meri Pyari Gudiya' will release sometime next week.
