MUMBAI: Malishka's lively voice wakes up Mumbai every morning. Her show Morning No.1 on Red FM is an addiction for countless listeners in Mumbai over the years. Today, 1 August, Malishka completed 11 years with Red FM. In the decade and a year that she has been wooing listeners with her vivacity and zest, Malishka has also become a champion for social issues, an ambassador for various causes and a frontrunner of social experimentation. Allow us to to take you through the many facets of Malishka, and the honours she has garnered on the way.
Recently, Malishka was a part of a pro boxing match between Vijender Singh and Kerry Hope in New Delhi which was aired on Star Sports. Speaking about it, she said, “This was the first time I conducted a sports show and I did some grand commentary during the competition. I have also hosted the pre-match event along with Charu Sharma, Mary Kom, Suresh Raina and Randeep Hooda.”
“I wanted to bring the joy of the whole thing to listeners. I have played basketball and kabbadi in school. It’s not that you have to be a pro in it. I did it because I wanted people to know more about it,” added the RJ.
She also hosted the Times of India Education Show 2016 where she spoke about radio and life beyond and things along with job opportunities.

In the past, the popular radio personality has won the ‘Best Breakfast Programme/Show’ (Hindi) at the Indian Excellence in Radio Awards for her show ‘Morning No 1 with Malishka’.
Malishka was also selected to represent the Indian radio fraternity at the International Radio Festival (IRF) in Milan, Italy in April this year.
Malishka recently won the KAF Award as Best RJ at KAF Business and Entertainment Awards. She also hosted the KASHISH Queer Film Festival this year, South Asia's biggest mainstream LGBT film festival.

RJ Malishka and rapper Divine kicked off Red FM's latest initiative - 'Red Live Unplugged’ on 18 February 2016 in association with Sony Music and True School of Music. The first episode of the unplugged series featured one of the country's finest rappers - Vivian Fernandes and one of the country's most beloved radio jockeys, RJ Malishka.
