MUMBAI: Shailendra Singh, a name that has been associated with one of the biggest EDM festivals in India, is now getting into filmmaking. This is a first for Singh, as also for other talents he is giving a platform to with his film 'Sunshine Music Tours and Travels'.

The entrepreneur is not just launching a new face Sunny Kaushal -- son of veteran action director, Shyam Kaushal and brother of 'Masaan' actor Vicky Kaushal -- in his directorial debut, but also a full EDM (Electronic Dance Music) background score. Yes, you heard it right! While EDM has managed to make its foray in Bollywood, we have not yet been exposed to an EDM background score. The new film will have the master of the EDM business - Shailendra Singh - collaborating with DJ Nucleya to create an EDM background score.

Nucleya will be giving music to the songs and background score of this upcoming film. The DJ has earlier composed songs for 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' (2013) and 'Let’s Nacho' for 'Kapoor And Sons'. His track, 'Mumbai Dance', was used in the Manoj Bajpayee starrer short film, 'Taandav'.

Joining him will be four international music producers, but their identities are still under wraps.

The score will have bass- heavy dance songs - 'Aaja', 'Mumbai Dance' and 'F- K Nucleya' at specific points to connect the dots. “I am honoured they fit the bill,” says Nucleya, who is working on new material for another Bollywood film.

Singh says, “Nucleya’s album and the chosen tracks do complete justice to the film. He will play a significant role in the background score, which also feature four international musicians. The songs have been used at certain points in the film. For instance, there’s an element in the climax where the song, 'Mumbai Dance', comes in. People treat background scores of films rather casually. I believe that if you shut your eyes and don’t see the film, the background score lets you feel it.”

DJ Nucleya aka Udayan Sagar is one of India's celebrated EDM artistes, who is gaining immense popularity among the teens and young adults for his signature Bollywood remixes that use elements of drum and bass and everything from traffic sounds to Carnatic music.
