MUMBAI: Poet and lyricist Tanveer Ghazi just inherited one of the proud moments in life, when superstar Amitabh Bachchan chose to narrate a 'nazm' written by Ghazi for his upcoming film 'Pink'.

In his entire Bollywood career, Bachchan has recited the poems of only three lyricists. In the film 'Kabhie Kabhie' (1976), Bachchan can be seen reciting the beautiful verses inscribed by Sahir Ludhianvi "Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein Khayal Aata Hai". In 'Silsila' (1981), Javed Akhtar crafted the beautiful ballads while in Aks (2001), Gulzar took the initiative of creating words for Big-B. "After the three big names, I am lucky enough to get the opportunity being a lyricist whose poem has been recited by Mr. Bachchan. He even appreciated and liked my poem," said Tanveer Ghazi.

Ghazi, who has written a poem and penned the lyrics of the song 'Kaari Kaari' sung by Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch in 'Pink' says that the poem was one of his old works, which describes the spirit of womanhood. "After hearing the story of 'Pink', I felt my poem goes exactly with the story," added Ghazi.

"I gave it to Shantanu Moitra, the music director of the film. He then gave it to the producer of the film Shoojit Sircar and finally, he passed the poem to Amitabh Bachchan," shares the much happy Ghazi.

The poem has been allotted for the climax scene in the film and in the coming days, Bachchan will even be seen reciting it in a reality show.

"'Pink' is a really big platform for me and it was such a pleasure working with the entire team," explained Ghazi.
