MUMBAI: After the Guinness success of Tallest Pyramid Cake on 17 September 2017, Guitarmonk Shakti, a joint movement to bring music in life of underprivileged, by India’s leading Guitar brand Guitarmonk and Guinness holder Shakti foundation, (an NGO for women empowerment) engaged with Vatsalyadham (An orphanage of more than 800 Kids, run by famous Laxmi Diamond, Gajera Group, Surat.
Initiated with 100 Guitar Gifts at the first event, Dr. Sonal Rochani visited Vatsalyadham to pick kids with music passion and supported them for both their instrument and music education need.
“Music participation is an essential element in the fabric of an enduring society and our aim is to keep music alive and available to all underprivileged communities. It is so amazing to see them filled with joy and richness holding music instrument and learning them. We want to open a door to happiness to them through our initiative” said Dr. Sonal Rochani.
On asking Kapil Srivastava on their Guitarmonk Shakti campaign, he said that “On the one side, under-privileged kids remain disconnected to this exposure, which is very vital at teenage as they can’t afford instrument and cost of music education but on the other hand most music teachers are also struggles as well. This initiative created an opportunity to bring in quality music teachers by empowering them to commit their time for tribal class and help all poor with 100 per cent sponsored education”
