MUMBAI: : BIG 92.7 FM left the local populace enthralled and craving-for-more as it traveled across 5 cities of India to present the much-awaited Close-up 'Rock with Sonu' Concert with none other than the country's young legend Sonu Niigaam. The whole country swayed with each beat as the talented singer belted out some great foot tapping numbers along with the 6 'Sing with Sonu' contest winners, chosen from the cities of Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi & Chandigarh. The concert kick started in Chandigarh on April 16th to packed audiences followed by performances in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore & Mumbai on April 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th April respectively.

Close-up 'Rock with Sonu' concert, which was presented across these 5 cities, was another category first initiative from BIG 92.7 FM, India's No.1 FM Station.The talented crooner along with the 'Sing with Sonu' contest winners charmed the audiences leaving them with nothing but asking for more! The winners Sulabh, Manjira, Samaayan, Deepak & Rohit wowed the audiences and gave away glimpses of a true performer, as they enthralled and entertained them with some of the best music hits. BIG 92.7 FM's RJs hosted the concert across these 5 cities and made the evening all the more exciting and memorable. The winners, who got to realize their dream of sharing the stage with none other than Sonu Niigaam for the concert, were selected after going through the rigorous and meticulously put together rounds of on-air & on-ground auditions, judged by various celebrity singers and followed by voting sessions.

It was an evening to remember as the city of Mumbai witnessed the most exciting event with Close-up 'Rock with Sonu' Concert. More than 10,000 people swarmed, eagerly waiting for a quick glance of their favorite star at the city's most popular venue, Andheri Sports Complex. Sonu Niigaam captivated the audience with his powerful performance and his on-stage histrionics¦Mumbaikars grooved & swayed with him as he sang 'Bijuriya', 'Nagada', 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna', 'Tum Ko Paya Hai'. In one of his performances on 'Just Chill' from the Salman Khan Starrer movie, the crowd went berserk and a fan of Sonu displayed her affection for the star on-stage leaving everybody stunned! But the highlight of the evening was the grand finale when Sonu invited all his discoveries and jammed along with them on his recent hit 'Punjabi Please'. The evening was concluded with Manjira, the winner from Mumbai being announced as the Concert winner by none other than Sonu Niigaam, who will now get an opportunity to release an album with the icon himself!

Delhi had almost 10,000 people who flocked the NSIP grounds to catch a glimpse of the sensational Sonu Niigaam and also the winners of the 'Sing with Sonu' contest. Once Sonu took on the stage, city of Delhi swung to the rhythm & beat of his songs only asking for more. Sulabh, the 'Sing with Sonu' contest winner from Delhi had the audience awestruck with not only his singing skills and but also with his on-stage persona.

Kolkata received rave reviews from over 20,000 people who thronged the Nicco Park grounds to witness the concert. Sonu Niigaam was greeted on stage with a thunderous applause and belted out chartbusters like 'Tum Ko Paya Hai', 'Bijuriya', 'Har Ghari Badal Rahi Hai', 'Ab Mujhe Raat Din' etc. The grand finale with the Kolkata winners Samaayan & Adreeza on Sonu Niigaam's recent hit 'Punjabi Please' was course the most enjoyable and crowd-puller performance. There were celebrities like Suchandra Bhutoria, Madu Neotia, Suman Banerjee & Sharbari Dutta who were seen having a rollicking time as well.

Close-up 'Rock with Sonu' in Bangalore had a turn-out of over 6000 people enjoying the evening with Sonu entertaining the city with rocking performances on his popular Bollywood chartbusters. Sulabh, the 'Sing with Sonu' contest winner from the city amazed had the audience with his performance and his singing skills. The evening will remain memorable in the hearts of all the people as Sonu Niigaam dumbfounded the audience with his performances on his Kannada chartbusters from the hit movie 'Mangaaru Male'.

The concert at Leisure Valley grounds in Chandigarh was a big hit with almost 6500 people coming in to cheer and watch India's most talented singer perform. Rohit John, the winner from the city was surely was a show stopper and charmed the audiences.
